1. Who we are

PixelPerfect is an educational platform for designers and related professionals. We organise and host online and in-person educational events, share resources and design-related content, and operate a paid membership area called the Learning Hub.

2. What we provide

PixelPerfect may offer:

  • free and paid online events;
  • free and paid in-person events;
  • community access, including WhatsApp or similar spaces;
  • educational resources, recordings, slides and related materials;
  • paid subscription access to the Learning Hub.

We may change, update, pause or discontinue any part of PixelPerfect where reasonably necessary, including to improve the service, deal with operational issues, or comply with legal obligations.

3. Eligibility

You may only use PixelPerfect if you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under applicable law. If you are registering on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation.

4. Event information

We aim to ensure that event descriptions, dates, speakers, topics and prices are accurate. However, schedules, speakers, formats and venues may occasionally need to change.

PixelPerfect may cancel, postpone, reschedule, substitute speakers, change venue, change platform, or otherwise amend an event where reasonably necessary.

For certain sponsored or partner-led events, we may share limited attendee information with the named sponsor where this has been clearly stated at registration and where we have an appropriate lawful basis to do so. The categories of information shared, and whether the sponsor may contact attendees directly, will be explained at the point of registration for the relevant event.

5. Learning Hub subscriptions

The Learning Hub is a paid subscription service. By subscribing, you agree to pay the subscription fee and any renewal charges shown at checkout.

Your subscription will continue until cancelled in accordance with these Terms.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout:

  • fees are charged in advance;
  • subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise;
  • you may cancel future renewals at any time, and your access will continue until the end of the current paid period.

PixelPerfect may change subscription pricing from time to time. Any price change will apply only to future billing periods and will be communicated in advance.

6. Digital content and immediate access

The Learning Hub contains digital content, including recordings, slides and resources.

If, during checkout, you ask for immediate access to the Learning Hub during the cancellation period, you expressly agree that supply of digital content will begin immediately and acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel may be lost once access starts.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights relating to digital content that is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse the website, Learning Hub, community spaces or event access links;
  • copy, scrape, download in bulk, redistribute, resell or commercially exploit PixelPerfect materials except where expressly permitted;

PixelPerfect may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all rights in the PixelPerfect website, branding, event pages, recordings, community materials, curation, and Learning Hub content are owned by or licensed to Semiology Studios Ltd / PixelPerfect.

Access to any event, recording, slide deck or resource does not transfer ownership of intellectual property rights.

You may use PixelPerfect materials only for your own personal, non-public, non-commercial learning, unless we give written permission otherwise.

9. Marketing and service communications

By registering for an event, joining the Learning Hub, or contacting PixelPerfect, you agree that we may send you service-related communications necessary to administer your booking, membership or account.

We will only send marketing communications where permitted by law, and you can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

10. Community spaces

PixelPerfect may offer access to community spaces such as WhatsApp groups, private channels or similar forums. These are provided to support professional discussion and community learning.

We may remove content or remove members from community spaces where conduct is inappropriate or inconsistent with these Terms.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights you have under consumer law that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to the above, PixelPerfect is not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential loss;
  • business interruption, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill or loss of opportunity;
  • attendee reliance on educational content as a substitute for professional, legal, financial or medical advice;
  • delays, interruptions or platform failures outside our reasonable control.

12. Privacy and cookies

Use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Notice. Use of cookies and similar technologies is governed by our Cookie Notice.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the relevant time will apply to your use of PixelPerfect, except that the Terms in force at the time of your purchase will apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction, except where consumer law allows you to bring a claim in another part of the UK in which you live.

15. Contact

Questions, concerns or support requests should be sent to: hello@pixelperfect.world

Website Use

You may browse the PixelPerfect website and access its content for personal, non-commercial use only, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

You must not misuse the website or try to interfere with its security, functionality or availability. This includes attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping content in bulk, or using the website in any unlawful or harmful way.

We may suspend, restrict or remove access to any part of the website, the Learning Hub or related services if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or if it is necessary for security, legal or operational reasons.

Newsletter and Marketing Communications

If you choose to sign up to the PixelPerfect newsletter or otherwise opt in to receive marketing communications, we may send you updates about events, recordings, resources, community news, offers and related PixelPerfect activities.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at hello@pixelperfect.world.

We may also send you service emails where necessary to manage your booking, subscription, account, event access or membership. These service communications are not marketing opt-ins and may still be sent where required to provide the relevant service.

Learning Hub Accounts and Access

If you create an account or subscribe to the Learning Hub, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity carried out through your account.

Learning Hub access is personal to the subscriber and must not be shared, resold, transferred or used by multiple people under one account unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

Third-Party Links and Platforms

The PixelPerfect website, events or communications may contain links to third-party websites, services or platforms. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those third parties, and your use of them is at your own risk.

Changes to Website or Services

We may update, modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the website, Learning Hub, event programme or community offering where reasonably necessary, including for legal, technical, editorial or operational reasons.

These Speaker Terms apply to any person invited by PixelPerfect to speak at, contribute to, or otherwise participate in a PixelPerfect event.

A speaker booking is only confirmed once the speaker has accepted these Speaker Terms in writing.

1. Invitation basis

PixelPerfect selects and invites speakers at its discretion. Invitations are personal to the invited speaker unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Speaker materials

The speaker may provide slides, documents, recordings, examples, workshop materials, biography, profile image and related content for use in connection with the event.

The speaker confirms that they have all necessary rights, permissions and consents to use and share any materials they provide, including any third-party content incorporated into slides or resources.

3. Licence to PixelPerfect

The speaker grants PixelPerfect and Semiology Studios Ltd a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to:

  • record the event;
  • reproduce, host, store, edit, subtitle, format and distribute the event recording;
  • reproduce, host, store and distribute the speaker’s slides and related materials;
  • make the recording and materials available through the Learning Hub or any future PixelPerfect membership, archive, educational library or paid access area;
  • use excerpts, screenshots, clips, quotes, slides, name, image, likeness, voice, job title and biography for editorial, promotional, educational, commercial and marketing purposes.

This licence continues even if the speaker later stops collaborating with PixelPerfect.

4. PixelPerfect recordings

Any event recording created by PixelPerfect or on PixelPerfect’s behalf may be edited, published, monetised, archived, paywalled, promoted, and otherwise used by PixelPerfect at its discretion.

5. Speaker restrictions

Without prior written permission from PixelPerfect, the speaker must not:

  • publish the full PixelPerfect event recording publicly;
  • upload the PixelPerfect recording to another platform;
  • authorise a third party to distribute the PixelPerfect event recording;
  • present or describe the PixelPerfect recording as their own independently produced event asset.

This clause does not prevent the speaker from promoting their appearance at the event using original materials created by them, provided they do not distribute the PixelPerfect recording itself without written permission.

6. No obligation to distribute

PixelPerfect is not obliged to publish, distribute or keep available any recording, slide deck or material.

7. Recording notice

The speaker acknowledges that PixelPerfect events may be recorded and that attendance as a speaker constitutes consent to such recording and the uses set out in these Terms.

8. Payment

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, speaking engagements are unpaid.

Where any speaker fee, reimbursement or commercial arrangement is agreed, it must be confirmed separately in writing.

9. Cancellation by speaker

If the speaker can no longer attend, they must notify PixelPerfect as soon as reasonably possible.

PixelPerfect may remove or reschedule a speaker where reasonably necessary, including for operational, editorial, reputational, legal or conduct reasons.

10. Warranties and indemnity

The speaker warrants that:

  • the materials supplied do not knowingly infringe third-party rights;
  • the content is not defamatory or unlawful;
  • they have authority to grant the permissions set out in these Terms.

The speaker agrees to indemnify PixelPerfect for losses arising from breach of the above warranties, except to the extent caused by PixelPerfect’s own negligence or misuse beyond the agreed licence.

11. Conduct

PixelPerfect expects speakers to act professionally and respectfully towards attendees, staff, sponsors and other speakers. PixelPerfect may end or suspend participation where conduct is abusive, discriminatory, harassing, unsafe or likely to harm the event or community.

These Attendee Terms apply to all attendees of PixelPerfect events, communities and the Learning Hub.

Some PixelPerfect events may be sponsored or delivered in partnership with selected companies. Where this applies, we may identify the sponsor on the event page, during registration, in event communications, or during the event itself. PixelPerfect aims to keep all events educational and relevant to attendees.

1. Registration and access

Some PixelPerfect events are free and some are paid. Registration is required where specified.

PixelPerfect may refuse, cancel or withdraw registration where reasonably necessary, including where capacity is reached, payment fails, conduct is inappropriate, or these Terms are breached.

2. No attendee recording

Attendees must not record, film, livestream, screenshot for redistribution, transcribe for redistribution, or otherwise reproduce any PixelPerfect event without prior written permission.

The use of AI note-taking bots, AI meeting assistants, AI transcription tools, or similar automated capture tools is not permitted unless PixelPerfect has given prior written approval.

3. PixelPerfect recording

PixelPerfect may record events for internal archive, Learning Hub distribution, editorial use, education, quality control, promotional use and commercial use.

For online events, your name, profile image, voice, camera feed, chat comments or questions may appear incidentally in the recording.

If you do not want your voice or image to appear, you should keep your camera and microphone off and avoid using the chat or speaking function, or contact us in advance at hello@pixelperfect.world.

4. Tickets, cancellations and refunds

For free events, PixelPerfect may cancel or amend registrations at any time.

For paid events:

  • all prices will be shown at checkout;
  • unless otherwise stated, tickets are non-refundable except where required by law;
  • if PixelPerfect cancels an event, you will be offered either a refund or transfer to a replacement event where appropriate;
  • if PixelPerfect makes a material change to the event, we may offer a refund, transfer or credit at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

PixelPerfect is not responsible for your travel, accommodation, time-off work, or other third-party costs unless required by law.

5. Learning Hub access

Learning Hub access is personal to the subscriber and must not be shared.

Attendees may access recordings and materials made available in the Learning Hub only for personal, non-public, non-commercial use.

You must not copy, repost, republish, distribute, sell, screen-record, or otherwise exploit Learning Hub content without written permission.

6. Community rules

If you join the PixelPerfect WhatsApp group or any other community space, you agree to:

  • treat others respectfully;
  • avoid harassment, hate speech, intimidation, spam or aggressive self-promotion;
  • avoid scraping or misusing member data;
  • avoid posting unlawful, misleading or infringing content;
  • follow any moderation instructions given by PixelPerfect.

PixelPerfect may remove content, mute participants, suspend access or remove members where reasonably necessary.

7. Educational nature of content

PixelPerfect content is educational and informational only. It is not legal, financial, medical, therapeutic, employment or other regulated professional advice.

8. Health and safety for in-person events

Attendees must behave safely and comply with venue rules, health and safety instructions, and reasonable requests from venue staff and PixelPerfect representatives.

PixelPerfect may refuse entry or require an attendee to leave if conduct is unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.

9. Contact

Questions, accessibility requests, complaints or support issues can be sent to hello@pixelperfect.world.

For Companies, Sponsors and Partners

PixelPerfect works with selected companies whose products or services are relevant to our audience of designers and design leaders.

We offer a range of sponsor and partner packages, which may include event sponsorship, educational integrations, branded talks, workshops, community collaborations, or full event partnerships. While some events are commercially supported, PixelPerfect aims to keep all events educational, useful and relevant to the community.

Any sponsorship, partner event or commercial collaboration is subject to a separate written agreement covering scope, deliverables, fees, branding, event format, recordings, attendee data sharing, cancellations and any other agreed rights or restrictions.

Where an event is sponsored or delivered in partnership with a company, PixelPerfect may identify that company on the event page, registration page, email communications, at the event itself, or in related promotional materials.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, PixelPerfect retains editorial control over the event format, host style, moderation, educational framing and overall attendee experience.

Where agreed for a specific sponsored event, PixelPerfect may share certain event-related materials with the sponsor, such as the event recording, attendee numbers, registration responses, or attendee details. Any sharing of attendee personal data will only take place in accordance with our Privacy Notice, the registration wording presented for that event, and applicable data protection and marketing laws.

If your company or service feels like a strong fit for PixelPerfect, please contact Stacey at hello@pixelperfect.world to discuss sponsor and partner opportunities.
